What makes dried fruits a healthy choice is that it is fermented to last long. Also, it does not contain any artificial colours or flavourings that will increase the natural fructose or sugar found in fruits. With its different choices (there are dried mango, dried strawberries, dried kiwi chips, dried oranges, etc.), you will never run out of reasons not to love fruits in its dried and fermented glory.

A whole banana

More than a lunch snack, you can munch on a single piece of banana for breakfast or even before you retire for bed since bananas are very rich sources of potassium and fibre if you are on a diet. Bananas are great snacking staples for those who want to watch their weights and their waist lines. They also say that eating 2 bananas before a workout can give you all the energy you to need to last from warm up to cool down. Especially if you always find yourself being so dull during the middle of the day, have a banana for snacks to perk you up from your sluggish and tired state.

The best part about going for fruit snacks for your lunch hour? You can make your own version by sprinkling in a little creativity in the kitchen. If you want to veer away from your potato chip addiction, you can start developing an appreciation for apple chips. Apple chips are quite easy to do. All you need to do is to have at least 4 to 5 washed apples. Peel off the skins and the core in the centre. Slice the peeled apples as thin as possible so you will have that crunch when you chew some. Use your trusty kitchen knife or use a meat slicker for quicker slices since apples can be a little hard. Prepare a cookie sheet, put the apple slices on it, and sprinkle powdered sugar on top o the sliced apples. Cook the chips in an oven for an hour and cool it after for about 30 minutes. You will have the crunch and the crisp that will not make you miss potato chip lunch snack so much. Click here for more.
